Logenix delivering Clinic supplies in Iraq

Brief overview ...

As the logistics subcontractor for the USAID Theatre Logistics Contract Iraq, Logenix has performed expediting, receiving, checking, warehousing, packaging, freight forwarding, armed security, and trucking distribution services throughout Iraq on behalf of the Health and Governance contractors to USAID.

For the Health contractor, Logenix has successfully planned, managed, and executed the largest supply of health clinic supplies ever attempted by USAID. Planning this enormous effort took Logenix four months. Logenix obtained Jordanian Customs permission to operate a specially licensed Free Zone warehouse outside Amman, Jordan to enable the receiving, checking, warehousing, and specially 'kitted' packaging of approximately 500,000 pounds, consisting of over 150,000 line items with a delivered value over 6 million dollars for 600 medical clinics in Iraq.

The repackaging and consolidation performed by Logenix saved over 350,000 USD in transit charges. As kitting was accomplished, Logenix transited 60 truckloads to secured depot warehouses operated in Basrah and Baghdad. 500 to-door deliveries, including inside clinic placement and signed Proof of Delivery (POD), to clinics throughout Iraq were coordinated by Logenix personnel.

Armed security was provided for trucking to depot warehouses as well as to individual clinics. All line items were 100% reconciled and reported via LTS 5.0. All vendor discrepancies and equipment damage were itemized and reported thus enabling 100% complete supply of all medical clinics.

For this outstanding work Logenix has received a commendation from USAID CTO.

For the Governance contractor, Logenix expedited, received, warehoused, consolidated and repackaged shipments on an ex-works basis from vendors in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Shipments were then transited by ocean and air by Logenix to Kuwait and/or Baghdad.

Shipments from various origins in US, Europe, and the Middle East were then again consolidated by Logenix personnel for trucking into Iraq. All Kuwait HOC customs procedures were executed by Logenix as well as all Iraq customs requirements.

In all, over 300 shipments of all sizes and weights were delivered via armed, secured trucks to over 20 locations throughout Iraq. Logenix also operated an exclusive 1000 meter, secured warehouse in Baghdad for the Governance contractor. All line items were reconciled and reported and all shipments were tracked via LTS 5.0.
