Brief overview ...

On behalf of contractors to the US Department of State and the United Nations, Logenix has operated large scale warehousing and distribution programs to supply peace keeping missions.

Almost one hundred shipments, weighing almost 1.5 million pounds, valuing over 4 million dollars, have been expedited from approximately thirty vendors and consolidated in warehouses in the US and Europe. The countries that Logenix has operated to include Sudan, Ivory Coast, Chad, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Niger, Mauritania, Mali, Liberia, and Senegal.

These missions are urgent in nature and primarily involve expediting, direct from numerous vendors throughout the US and Europe, and immediate air freight to destination. Special permissions for landing aircraft had to be obtained for many of the countries requiring extensive communication and coordination between Logenix Virginia office, the recipient countries, and the proper country/US Military authorities granting such permissions.

In recent months Logenix has executed large scale operations to Liberia, Sudan, and Mali. All these operations involved the quick supply of equipment and vehicles for joint peacekeeping forces and civilian monitoring teams. Over a quarter of a million pounds of urgently needed equipment for Liberia was received, verified, packed in the US and Holland, and three chartered aircraft were dispatched within a two week time frame.

Operations to Sudan are particularly challenging as this country is currently embargoed by the US Government. Logenix was instrumental in helping the contractor obtain the special Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) licenses necessary to ship to Sudan. The requirements in Sudan are ongoing and have comprised over 50 air freight shipments of 650,000 pounds of equipment to date. During on 3-week period, Logenix operated 24 hr days to receive over half million pounds of water and fuel bladders, building supplies, tents and generators, and loaded 12 aircraft charters destined to El Fasher in the strife torn area of Dafur.

The Mali operation involved the reallocation of almost 20,000 pounds of bulk supplied police gear and equipment. Four different peace keeping companies, with extremely specific equipment quantity and type requirements, were supplied.
